Steps For Holder

As a holder, you’ll get a verification request from the verifier, and once you get them, go through it and select the requested credentials that are being asked from the verifier.

For instance, if a tech company that is a verifier has asked for your degree name credentials and you have university credentials in addition to your driving license; you can select these two credentials and pick only the requested information instead of sending the complete credentials.

This works on the basis of Zero-Knowledge Proofs which is one of the methods to prove something without actually revealing what that information is.

Once you select all the information that is requested, click on ‘Continue’

As the holder, you must choose the identity to that you want to present.

Once the credential information has been sent, the verifier authenticates it and a message or acknowledgement is sent to the holder.

If the credentials are valid, the verification will be successful and the related response will be sent back.

Alternatively, if the credentials are not valid, verification failed message will be sent.
